If I ever strike it rich this is what I’ll do:
I will create an arena that functions almost exactly like the one in The Hunger Games. Then I would have tumblr bloggers reaped (should they choose to enter The Tumblr Games). Then, in the order that they were reaped, I will have them choose which districtdom they would like to be from. Once they are chosen, I will have them go through a process similar to that of The Hunger Games (getting prepped, tribute parade, interview). They will wear the clothes representing their districtdom then proceed to be interviewed by Craig Ferguson and who, along with Ellen DeGeneres, will be commentators on the games.
The arena will have basic weapons such as that the ones featured in the novel/film, yet instead of being real, they will be fake and will burst out red paint upon impact. I will also have various special weapons that only the members of that specific districtdom can use.
The winner of the tumblr games will have their post limit removed, will not be confined to a character count in ask boxes, can post pictures of any size, and assuming I don’t get sued for copyright, a cash prize.
The Districtdoms:
The Arlington (TX) Police and Fire Departments and the Texas-based nonprofit a Wish with Wings joined forces to realize the dream of a young cancer patient who wanted nothing more than to become Batman for a day.
Officers and firefighters, assisted by the Mayor’s Office, organized various comic-inspired crimes around the city requiring the ass-kicking skills of a caped crusader.
Accompanied by police and Big Batman, 7-year-old Kye, who suffers from leukemia, roamed the streets of Arlington as Little Batman, mopping up an attempted bank robbery by the Joker, and putting the kibosh on a city hall bomb planted by the Riddler.
At the end of a long day of crime fighting, Kye was awarded the Key to the City by Assistant Police Chief James Hawthorne.
